Shower glass & shower doors
Frameless shower glass and custom shower doors, measured for your bathroom.
Reliable Glass & Stone installs frameless enclosures, hinged and sliding shower doors, fixed glass panels, and double glass door systems. Every project starts with an in-person measurement so the glass fits your opening exactly — no guesswork.
Serving Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex & Morrisville.

Frameless enclosures
Frameless enclosures, fit to your opening.
Frameless enclosures use thick tempered glass — typically 3/8" — held by minimal hinges and clips, with no metal channel around the glass. The result is a clean look that shows off your tile and lets light through the bathroom.
Every enclosure is field-measured, cut to your opening, and tempered before it leaves the shop. We install for walk-ins, alcoves, and corner configurations. If your opening is unusual — sloped ceilings, half-walls, knee walls — bring it up during the measurement visit and we'll tell you what works and what doesn't.

Shower doors
Hinged, sliding, and bypass doors.
We install hinged doors for standard alcove and corner showers, sliding doors for tubs and tight openings, and bypass systems where wall space won't allow a swing. Each door is paired to your opening — there are no off-the-shelf widths involved.
Hardware finishes are matched to your existing fixtures — polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, brushed gold, or oil-rubbed bronze. We confirm the exact finish during the quote so the hinges and handles look like part of the bathroom, not an afterthought.

Fixed glass panels
Fixed panels for walk-in showers.
A fixed panel is a single sheet of tempered glass anchored to the wall, floor, or curb — no door, no hinges, no track. They're a common choice for walk-in showers where an opening is wide enough to skip a swinging door.
We use 3/8" tempered glass for typical runs and step up to 1/2" for taller or wider panels that need extra rigidity. If your bathroom is still being built, we'll coordinate with your designer or contractor on the rough opening before tile goes in.

Double glass door systems
Symmetrical double doors for larger showers.
Double door systems pair two symmetrical hinged doors — usually flanked by fixed panels on either side — for openings 60" and wider. They're common in large bathroom remodels where the shower is the centerpiece of the room.
These systems are more hardware-intensive than a single door, so swing direction, hinge spacing, and finish all get confirmed on the field-measurement visit before any glass is cut.

Questions homeowners ask before booking.
How long does a typical shower glass installation take?
Most installations are completed in a single visit of 2–4 hours once the glass is fabricated. The full timeline from measurement to installed glass usually runs 1–2 weeks, depending on hardware and glass options.
Do you handle the measurement, or do I send you dimensions?
We measure every job in person. Shower openings are rarely perfectly square, and a custom-fit enclosure depends on accurate field measurements — not numbers from a tape measure or a contractor's drawing.
What's the difference between frameless and semi-frameless?
Frameless enclosures use thicker tempered glass (typically 3/8") held by minimal hinges and clips, with no metal channel around the glass. Semi-frameless uses thinner glass set into a slim metal frame on some edges. Semi-frameless is less expensive up front but less durable over time.
Which areas do you serve?
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex, and Morrisville. Visit our service-areas page for local details on each city.
What thickness of glass do you use?
Frameless enclosures and doors typically use 3/8" tempered glass. For taller or wider runs — fixed panels over about 36" wide, or double-door systems — we step up to 1/2" tempered glass for added rigidity. The right thickness is confirmed at the measurement visit.
Can you match the hardware finish to my existing fixtures?
Yes. Common finishes include polished chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, brushed gold, and oil-rubbed bronze. Bring a photo of your faucet and showerhead to the measurement visit and we'll match hinges and handles to it.
Do I need to remove my old shower door before you arrive?
No. Removal and disposal of an existing door or enclosure is part of the install when you ask for it — mention it when you request a quote, or when we arrive to measure.
How should I clean and care for the glass after install?
Squeegee the glass after each shower to keep mineral buildup from setting. For weekly cleaning, use a residue-free cleaner like dilute dish soap — avoid anything gritty or acidic, which can damage clear-coat treatments and dull hardware finishes over time.
Roughly what does a frameless enclosure cost?
Pricing depends on glass size, thickness, hardware finish, and whether removal of an existing door is needed — so we don't publish a starting-at number that could be misleading. Every quote is in writing and is based on the in-person measurement.
